In all honesty, it is disappointing/time consuming to drop cards on EC widgets that are way belooooow blogs. There are at least 3 blogs I have encountered so far that have this kind of set-up. You have to scroll way down their blogs before you can see their widgets.
I know that it is their prerogative where they want to put their EC widget. For some bloggers, I believe they want EC droppers to see their other posts. Some would like to avoid the “bounce effect” that the expert webmasters are talking about.
Whatever their reasons are, can I just suggest that they put it somewhere in the middle of their blogs, if it’s okay with them? It will help those bloggers who wants to drop on several blogs in as little time as possible.

hmmmm, i’ve encountered several blogs with that set up too. i guess they don’t realize that there are people who takes time to read posts, insecure lang ang mga yun hahaha.

I totally agree!
There are also sites that are loading very slow. Maybe they should find a template that loads fast.

Absolutely true. Sometimes you’ll find it hard to locate where they put their card. You’ll end up refreshing the page especially those pages with a lots of scripts and ads grrr so annoying especially when it caused your unit to hung.

Yeah, I agree with you on the entrecard thing. It’s kind of frustrating to have to go searching for it. In all honesty if I’m going to read the person’s blog.. having their entrecard at the bottom of the page isn’t going to make me wanna do it any more or less. You know?

I don’t comment on every blog that I “drop” on because sometimes there is just nothing to say. But I ALWAYS scroll through the whole page and often find an older post of interest…So looking for their widget can often reward me with something interesting or useful or smile inducing.
Just my 2 cents…

Ha ha. I find the same thing annoying too. Sometimes, I don’t like advertising at blogs where the widget is at the bottom because people will find it hard to see my site’s icon. I think if you have something interesting to say, no matter where your widget is, people will read it. It is a challenge that all bloggers have to accept.

I don’t like it when blogs have their widget at the end of their sidebar or bottom of the page either, but I don’t mind if it’s anywhere from the middle upward. I do look at a blogs recent posts to see if there is anything I’m interested in reading.
I have several blogs listed with Entrecard and I don’t list my widget at the top of my blogs because I have contracts with various advertisers on a few of the blogs for those in demand spots. Plus back in the day of the power lists I think having a widget at the top just helped speed those power droppers along.
I like the visits and I like seeing my pageview stats go up, but an empty visit just for the sake of dropping a card and getting a credit is pointless to me.
