Last night before I logged off, I downloaded Firefox version 3 and installed it. Unlike most people, I don’t go for the latest version of whatever program I am using. But then, I’ve been reading raves for this new Firefox version plus the Entrecard toolbar works only for this one. I figured, why not give it a try?
So after installing it last night, I logged off and went to sleep. When I woke up this morning, as my ritual, I opened by laptop and loaded (EC)cards I haven’t dropped on yet. I noticed that instead of firing up my browser, as what I’ve read in those blogs raving about this version, sites were loading slower than usual. I thought it might be my connection so I did something with my modem but it’s still the same. I restarted my laptop just to be sure. Still, sites were loading slower than usual.
You know what? I reverted to the lower version! I installed Firefox version 2 again and it’s better than the latest version. I won’t be using the new Entrecard toolbar anyway.
Just goes to show that what works for others won’t necessarily work for you.
Let me know your experience with Firefox 3 if you are using it already.

I am so damned glad it is not just me. I hated firefox3. I thought it was my computer and did everything to it including trying another browser (safari)I finally went back to firefox2 and until someone fixes 3 I am staying with 2. Entrecard toolbar or not!

Thank you for this information Sash. I didn’t pay attention which version that I am using now 2 or 3…wala naman akong problema. But I will find out kung version 2 or 3 ba itong gamit ko. If 2, then I will try to download the version 3, baka mas maganda yan dahil latest eh.

I don’t realize about the difference though. It’s just the same with Firefox 2 in terms of loading blogs with ec. Slow like a turtle and sometimes it doesn’t load the ec. I don’t know, maybe it’s my connection getting worse day by day?

Bummer! I haven’t noticed the speed… but maybe I should compare! I think I only have FF3 on my laptop now since I had to reinstall Vista not long ago.

Really, firefox 3 is slow to you?? It is fast on my pc. I love it especially with the search website (sites you have visited) capabilities on the address bar.

I’m ok with 3 but it still has the same problem with losing all your logins. I shouldn’t have to constantly login for the same sites over and over and over again. It’s annoying, extremely. I try other browsers but I have FF3 all set up with the extras I like, such as CoComments, Entrecard and StumbleUpon. Anyway, today I went back to IExplorer to give it a try. It was super slow. I could have had a shower, made dinner or given birth to a small child while waiting for that to load a page. Crazy that I once was devoted to IE.

My FF works fine and I didn’t download the EC tollbar, I don’t think I’ll use it anyway. Thanks for the info.
