When you are applying for a job, or anything bank-related, a background check is being done to ensure that you are eligible for the position or capable of the service you are applying for. This is mandatory locally. I think even internationally.
I was assigned to do this when I was looking for an assistant before. It was tedious, to say the least. Better leave this kind of job to the experts.
