On debt management

In the past, I’ve been besieged with debts I incurred while I was sending my sisters to school. Bank loans, personal loans from individuals, credit cards… you name it! These were unsecured loans, thank goodness. Otherwise, I would have lost a lot of mortgaged property for sure.

And then a friend introduced debt management to me. While I was able to meet monthly payments on the bank loans and personal loans from individuals, the credit card payments were left to pile up. Can you imagine how much finance charges I was incurring that time? Not to mention the interest rate on unpaid amounts due. When my friend told me about debt management, the unpaid amount of credit card debt I had was double what was supposed to be the principal amount! That big, yes.

So I managed to negotiate with the different creditors I had. I asked for some lenience in the monthly payments and was granted the amount I suggested. I was able to get the finance charges waived. Slowly, I was able to pay off one loan after another, one credit card due after another.
