Seeing this old couple makes me realize that it is important to think of your future, to plan ahead. Sure, your kids will take care of you (some don’t!). But it is embarrassing to depend on your grown up kids especially when they are already married and with kids of their own. Chances are, the money they are earning is intended for their own families. You are now an additional burden to them no matter what they say to the contrary.
Save. Plan ahead. Map out your life. Claim your social security disability as well as retirement benefits. And then live a simple life. That way, you won’t spend the lot of your money just like that. Get a life insurance. Secure yourself.
You can do so much when you focus on what you have to do.
