I live by this rule in life: to each his own. I do believe that what makes one person tick doesn’t necessarily mean it will make another person tick as well. We all live differently from each other. We are all in different circumstances in life. That’s why when I heard about my uncle trying his luck in bingo for cash, I knew right away that he wants to add to his funds. He needs it and he is trying his luck in a game he grew up on.
Some people frown on online games but I do think there is nothing wrong with an hour or so spent to play bingo. We all work hard and I do believe that we all deserve equal play time. How else can we achieve balance in our lives, right? Work hard, play harder! If you ask me, that’s how we should live our lives.
My uncle is one of the persons who reminded me how short life is. He had a heart stroke twice in a span of three months. He is doing okay now but the scare it all gave us reminded all of us that we really don’t know when our lives will end. Can you blame the guy for trying his luck in online bingo, a game that he loves whether online or offline. If winning can give him not only the small amount of success and the addition to the funds he needs, then I say go for it, uncle! I am all for a little bit of fun in life especially if a worry is trying to break the calm and quiet at home.
If you are undergoing the same situation in life now, I say lose yourself in something fun! Try your luck in bingo and have fun while doing it!

For some people like me, a small gesture could mean the world. Do you know that even a small smile can make my day!
And I don’t forget
A couple of years ago, I was really down and out. I had a problem at home and it was showing no matter how hard I hide it. You know what a very good friend of mine did? He asked someone from their office to make a flower delivery! He ordered flowers online and since we were in the same building, he asked someone to give it to me. It came with a note that said people were missing my smile.
Flowers are special for women. And to have thought of a woman, be a friend, a family member or a special someone, it’s a big deal. That gesture meant the world to me. It really brought back a smile to my heart.

One of the lists I am preparing today is for Christmas gift ideas. You know how hard it is to think of what to give to some people in our lives, especially bosses and other co-workers. I have been in the same situation every year wherein I get stuck with figuring out what to give the people who matter to me in the office.
So this year I want it to be different. I am preparing a list of gifts I can think of. One of the things on my list is a christmas gift basket at Shari’s Berries. I find that giving gift baskets is much more convenient for those people who live with their families. Those who live alone are better off with something else. But will you say no to fresh berries? I don’t think so!
I still have to come up with nine more gift ideas for people in the office. Hmm, what else?

Whenever I see holiday photo cards I am reminded of my former boss. Every year her family would engage in photo sessions and they will choose one photo to use for the holiday photo cards they will send out to family and friends.
And then I saw one just now. It’s of a friend and his family. They, too, give out photo cards every Christmas to family and friends.
It just reminded me of my former boss and her penchant for bragging about every little thing about her family. Some people were annoyed over that attitude of hers but I could relate to her bragging because I feel the same way towards my family. In a way, that made us kindred souls.

You know whenever I read anything about Steve Jobs, it makes me feel ashamed for being lazy and a big fan of procrastination. The guy was born out of wedlock. He was up for adoption when he was born. He was a college dropout. But look at what he was able to do. He changed the way we live through his inventions. Technology is no longer what it used to be because of him.
And for that we will always be thankful that the world gave us a Steve Jobs!
Can you imagine how much joy having thousands of songs inside your pocket at any given time has brought us (iPod)? How about a thin and mobile version of our computers (iTouch and iPad) that we can bring anywhere? And there’s the iPhone that is a cellphone, camera, video recorder, voice recorder and computer all in one! He brought us so much in such a short time!
He will sorely be missed but Steve Jobs will continue to live on as an inspiration to you and me.

One of the things that a good blogger friend taught me during my first few months of being a full time blogger was the value of an rss feed. She told me that I need to know it so as to promote and make use of it to gain readers. And that’s what I did. I took note of my blog’s rss feed and used it to drive traffic to my blog.
Another important element to take note of is the rss feed analytics. Know what your readers and visitors are interested in. Know your target audience and know what they want. That way you will know what your audience are going back for. And you can write more about that topic. Review your feed analytics from time to time so that you have a clear grasp as to what makes your readers tick. I learned all that and managed to apply it with my very first personal blog.
If you want to do the same thing, I say go to FeedCat.net now. It’s easy and the site has managed to help thousands of registered members already. Know your feed audience data and at the same time you can earn through your feeds. Go to the site now.

Two families from our neighborhood have planned an out of town trip this coming weekend. They will be using curt trailer hitches to bring all their stuff as they are really big in number. They will be going to a town just outside the city and will stay there for three days. They plan to swim and just bond with each other.
I wish them luck! It’s not easy traveling with a number of people but, of course, it can be done. My family and I have done it a couple of times in the past. We traveled to different towns with my dad’s siblings’ families and it was chaotic at best. But it was a lot of fun and we will most likely do it again given a chance.
