There are times when I don’t know if I should feel proud that the people I only taught and/or encouraged are far better off than me nowadays. Sure, I feel happy for them but a part of me is confused why I was somewhat left behind. Envious much? Possibly.
I also feel weird about seeing how active some of them are.
No, I don’t regret teaching or helping out or encouraging others to join the bandwagon. In fact, I did it because I want to and it really came from the bottom of my heart, wanting to help out and all that. It is also my small way of paying it forward. I am honest enough to admit that without the help of a really good friend I wouldn’t be where I am now. It’s possibly just a feeling that I want to be as active as them but I just don’t have the drive anymore. Been there, done that.
So this is just me being weird and all.

Jasper is preparing for a race tomorrow. No, he won’t be racing himself. It will be his remote control truck that will be racing in a race track just a little outside the city. He will be racing his rc truck alongside that of his friends. He is busy preparing for it, making sure he has the right rc batteries to bring with him. He doesn’t want to find himself without change of batteries when needed and his rc truck is nearing the finish line.
It happened to him two years ago. His rc truck was near the finish line when its batteries died and he found he had no spare batteries with him. He was so frustrated he lost the race. And that race had a grand prize of twenty grand! That will never happen to him again.

I don’t know if the canvas shoes that my cousin will wear in Singapore will be the one she will use for walking there. We plan to walk and walk and walk in Singapore. We plan to explore the place and walk until we drop. I told my cousin I will wear slippers. But I don’t know if that is really conducive to that much walking. I will probably wear my sneakers for comfort. What do you think?
I told my family that I really plan to do a lot of traveling next year. I am not getting any younger and there are still a hundred or so destinations in my list of places to see before I turn 60. I need to get there! The sooner, the better!
That’s why I am waiting for airfare promos. And when I see one, I book a seat right away!

Have you heard that song yet? That’s the song that kept on playing in my head due to a shower party I attended.
We were having a shower party for a high school friend who will be getting married next month. The bridal shower was held last month and it’s just a dozen of us high school friends in attendance. It was gift-giving part already and one of my friends gave the bride-to-be some nipple pasties. Cat calls ensued and lots more sexy talk about the honeymoon and the marriage bed.
It was a lot of fun. Those of us who are still single and unattached, three of us to be specific, were laughing so hard about the things we heard from the married ladies. Topics that when discussed in a crowd will surely raise eyebrows from the oldies and will make the younger ladies blush.

I know this may sound weird to some people but I get to think better if I see people passing by. I get to concentrate more when I am in the middle of a crowd. That’s me.
That desk by the window? That will be a perfect desk for me as I will get to see people and vehicles passing by. I know ideas will overflow if I sit there and stare outside in between writing.
Happy Monday everyone!

There is something truly touching with getting personalized greetings. Not the canned ones that we see on the cards that we can buy anywhere. Or those that we can find online. With personalized greetings, you can truly say that you thought about the words you said that are specific to the person you are sending the greetings to.
Instead of buying, why not make your own greeting cards? Why not personalized one? It will make the recipient feel important, I tell you. The recipient will feel that since you exerted an effort to write something personal, he/she is important to you. Will you labor over words on someone you don’t care about? Of course not! You only do things like that for persons you care for.
This coming holidays try personalizing your greetings. Go make your very own greeting cards!

I have two things in my agenda for tomorrow: to find a plus size formal dress and a tablet that my aunt can use when she goes back to university for her PhD. I need the formal dress because I will be attending a corporate affair soon. It will be for a colleague’s recognition for his outstanding work for the tax bureau. I have been invited to attend because aside from my friend is the award recipient, I also know a lot of people from the tax branch office who will be giving the award to my friend.
My aunt, on the other hand, decided to go back to university starting November of this year. She will be getting her PhD and she wants a tablet she can use. She asked for my help so I am going to check one out later, a tablet that will suit her needs.
It will be a busy weekend for me.

Do you know how hard it is to be inside your home with no electricity? You get bitten by mosquitoes. You have to fan yourself for a bit of comfort. You can’t do anything but try to amuse yourself with whatever you can find except you can’t read using candles because it can cause dizziness after a while. You can use a portable transistor radio but that also gets tiring after a while.
No electricity means a lot of hassle and frustration inside the house! You get restless because you either have something to do and you can’t do it or you want to do something and you can’t do it.
Argh!!!
Thank goodness for puppies and toddlers. At least they get to entertain you and lessen the boredom you feel.
